Kimberly Kushner is the owner & founder of AMR Nurse Consultants, Inc. Kimberly brings over 25 years of nursing experience to the firm. Having authored more than 1,000 life care plans for individuals with a variety of catastrophic injuries and illnesses, Kimberly’s experiences in the clinical nursing arena has set a foundation for excellence in life care planning and case management.
EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS
Kimberly graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelors of Science nursing degree in 1997. Her clinical nursing career started at Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she worked on an adult medical surgical unit. After relocating to Washington DC, Kimberly gained expertise in the areas of critical care, including management of adult burn and trauma victims. She continued her education at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, obtaining a Masters of Science in Nursing degree, preparing her to practice as a nurse practitioner. Kimberly was then employed at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia caring for children and young adults with chronic diseases. She continued her work at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children for several years until joining a Life Care Planning and Case Management firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Kimberly is a certified nurse life care planner having graduated from the University of Florida life care planning program. Prior to founding AMR Nurse Consultants, Inc., she provided comprehensive case management services to children and adults with severe, chronic and complex medical needs. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners and the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, having served on the board of IARP in 2015. Since 2003, Kimberly has volunteered as a nurse for Camp No Worries, a one week unique camping experience for children with cancer.
